When Jimmy Dunning passed away in November 2008 he left behind a huge archive of home recordings.  Jimmy used a Revox A77 reel to reel tape machine to capture his ideas since the early 1970’s.

In January 2010, Jeannie Dunning (Jimmy’s wife) and Paul Burgess, who worked with Jimmy on his album ‘Try Me Buy Me’ began the process of going through all the reel to reel tapes and other formats using Jimmy’s Revox to play back the tapes. These were then transferred to digital and after ten days they had found  over 400 recordings dating back to the late 1960’s.  Paul and Jeannie spent the next 18 months cataloging all these recordings. Once that process was complete, Jeannie and Paul spent another week organising all these recordings into potential projects for release. These Projects were arranged by date of material, quality of recordings, best/most complete version and so on. They ended up with 4 or 5 potential projects.

In early 2012 Paul began work on project 1 which included over 30 songs. 15 of these songs were chosen to form the album ‘Nothing Ever Changes‘ which was released in 2013. You can read Paul’s Blog Post regarding the making of this album. Project 2 was started in 2015 and became the album “Honky Music‘  which was released in May 2016. Project 3 will be started late 2016.
